I’m having a hard time with both DC and Marvel at the minute.
Like I love Venom, but the King In Black is a bleh cross-title event.
But Future State god damn: Imagine making every title go away, some mid-storyline for (3?) months for… what? A cross-title event showing a “possible future”?
Like King in Black may have some silly Tie-In books being made but god at least everything else I still want to read isn’t on hold.
It’s okay for a book. Not my favourite narrative device but it’s okay.
But for multiple flagship comic book titles ._.
Wow I’m so glad I have no idea what’s going on in every issue I read, glad that these details will be filled in gradually… over the course of the 6 months…
I don’t know if any comic book peeps are still following me, or if they are reading X of Swords but… am I just not getting this or does it actually read really badly?
Like I’m following the story, I know it’s essentially in a fae-like realm so things aren’t going to be normal, but the whole thing just feels so off it’s unreal.
let warren ellis work his magic on him and get maybe jon davis-hunt on art (he’s been doing art on The Wild Storm and he does amazing action scenes)
ya dig?
Do you think it’s kind of a great character angle that Taskmaster can literally do what “the best” can… but he never rises above B-List Mediocrity? Like the fact that he ran a henchman school and hangs out with Eric O’Grady, the sketchiest man alive.
I think when you make Taskmaster a complete badass it falls a little flat, like the Ultimate version they did of him.
Still waiting on something to happen with this. I wonder if nothing’s happened because Bendis left? Sad to not see any of the X-Men as that was my favourite twist in the whole Ultimate Universe!
